After years of having problems with my menstrual cycle and the past 2 years even worse than before, I finally decided, in December, to get a hysterectomy done. We went to Chiang Mai to get this done and the view from my hospital room was amazing. Peter stayed with me the entire time to help take care of me with the none medical stuff. This is quite normal in Thailand.
The day of and after the surgery I wasn’t allowed to eat anything but after that I got liquid food and several days later I was back to eating solid food. For breakfast they gave me a hamburger and salad but I didn’t care, I loved it.
Recovery takes 6 to 8 weeks and for many this is paired with a lot of pain. The pain decided to take a break in my case but I was very tired and ended up sleeping quite a bit. But that too will pass and this time permanently because I will no longer have Anemia now that that thing is out. I look forward to when I’ll be completely healed and have more energy than before.
I want to thank everyone who prayed for me, sent me a card, or thought of me in other ways.
